A balance and a permission are different questions
A generation option can be unavailable even when an account shows credits. Buying another pack only helps if insufficient spendable credits are the actual obstacle.
TensorArt’s April 13, 2026 update introduces Canvas Energy, explicitly separate from TA Credits. It also describes selected closed-source models moving to Canvas. Those dated notes explain why an old tutorial and an existing balance may refer to a different route from the model you now want.
PlayFlux’s official FAQ, read through its current indexed copy, describes one-time credit purchases without subscriptions. The same FAQ also advertises VIP benefits such as premium models, priority and higher limits. It does not fully explain the relationship between that eligibility and each credit pack. Do not assume that purchasing any pack automatically activates every VIP feature.
Diagnose before paying
| Check | Question to answer |
|---|---|
| Selected route | Is this Classic/Canvas or another named workflow? |
| Spendable resource | Which displayed balance does that route consume? |
| Model eligibility | Is access restricted by the account level or current availability? |
| Current cost | What does the selected operation actually charge? |
If the resource is in the wrong pool, a larger number in that same pool may not solve the problem. If the model is not eligible, identify the access requirement rather than repeatedly submitting the job.
For TensorArt, use its official handbook index to find the relevant workflow family. Match the tutorial to the selected route; a ComfyUI lesson is not automatically an instruction manual for every Canvas tool.
A missing setting may be a mode rule
The March 18 TensorArt update says Steps and CFG adjustments are disabled in Fast Mode. If those controls are unavailable there, topping up credits is not the documented fix. Record the route and mode before concluding that the interface is broken.
This release history is not a guarantee that every named model remains available today. It is evidence for the kinds of distinctions that a purchase decision must preserve.
For PlayFlux, resolve the current pack/eligibility relationship through the account’s stated requirements before buying for a particular model. The unreadable direct page in this review does not establish that the controls are absent.
Save the model name, route, required balance and stated cost with the project. PlayFlux’s retention statements conflict, so preserve accepted files too. This guide concerns ordinary creative work under the relevant Terms.
Choose the next action from the diagnosis: different route, clarified eligibility, different mode or more of the correct resource. “Buy more credits” should be a result of that check, not its starting assumption.
